meet Sparrow, Amy Michelle Wiley

Amy Michelle Wiley grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with a love of creativity, words, and people. Those passions matured into her current careers as a sign language interpreter and a freelance writer and editor. Amy writes mostly fiction, believing that God can use it to touch people’s hearts with His love and grace in a special way, though she occasionally dabbles in other genres, too. She’s had numerous short stories published in anthologies and magazines and is currently working on the second draft of her first novel, Reaching Sky. She’s also beginning work writing a movie, Sign Your Love, that will portray the Deaf Community.

Amy founded and directs an international collaborative fiction group, Peculiar People, and has self published two of their books and is directing several more future books. She loves to help other writers through the self publishing process. Also an active FaithWriters member, Amy is one of their conference speakers and assistant conference coordinator.

For the last several years, Amy has faced the challenge of living every day with Fibromyalgia and other chronic health issues that can be debilitating at times. She is learning that through the refining fire God can bring jewels out of her struggles. Amy’s nickname, Sparrow, comes from the passage in Matthew that reminds us that if God cares for the sparrows, even more so does He cherish each of His people and all the details of their lives. Find many of Amy’s short stories and more about her on her website www.sparrowsflight.net.
